Secondary Aluminum

Metal recovery does not begin in the furnace; it begins with the quality of engineering across the entire process.

Aluminium Recycling Starts with Scrap Quality, Not Furnace Temperature

Scrap preparation has its own challenges: inconsistent feed composition, moisture, and surface coatings that, if not properly managed before melting, can reduce recovery rates and create combustion risks. Melting and molten metal holding present a different set of challenges: maximizing metal recovery while minimizing dross formation. Both are influenced less by operational adjustments and more by the engineering logic and equipment design behind the process.

At Alvand Technique, we design and build Rotary and Tilting melting furnaces based on the actual scrap mix and production capacity of each plant. Furnace design and combustion control are two parts of the same challenge. Burner fuel-to-oxygen ratios are continuously adjusted according to real furnace conditions to maximize heat transfer and reduce fuel consumption. In parallel, automated charging systems minimize furnace door opening time, reducing heat loss while keeping operators away from one of the closest and highest-risk interactions with the furnace.

Every aluminum recycling and melting operation has its own challenges. Those challenges are solved by solutions engineered for the specific process, not by a pre-packaged approach.

Where We Create Value

Scrap Preparation & Preheating

We reduce moisture and contamination in scrap and use recovered furnace heat for preheating, resulting in lower energy consumption and improved melting efficiency.

Melting Furnace Design, Fabrication & Optimization

We design Rotary and Tilting furnaces based on scrap characteristics, actual plant capacity, and production objectives, with a focus on maximizing metal recovery and minimizing dross generation.

Smart Combustion & Energy Efficiency

By continuously adjusting combustion to actual furnace conditions, we improve heat transfer efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.

Charging & Material Handling Systems

Through proper equipment and process design, we reduce charging time and heat loss while improving operator safety during charging operations.

Off-Gas Treatment & Energy Recovery

We design gas treatment and waste heat recovery systems to reduce emissions and improve overall energy efficiency.

Processes We Support

Scrap preparation and preheating, melting and molten metal holding, material handling, industrial combustion, heat recovery, off-gas treatment, and dross management.
