Fabrication

Equipment built to engineering intent, verified before it leaves the workshop, and ready to install on arrival at site.

Heavy Fabrication with Full Documentation Traceability: From Drawing to FAT

Engineering is only worth what can be built from it. Work that cannot be executed to specification has limited value. Alvand Technic operates its own fabrication capability — which means the engineering intent defined in design is transferred directly to the workshop, without passing through a manufacturer who was not part of the design process.

Fabrication is carried out under ISO 9001 and EN 1090-2 certification. Material traceability runs from mill certificate to finished component. Every weld procedure is qualified. Every critical dimension is verified against the original engineering model before the equipment leaves the facility.

A drawing is an instruction. FAT is confirmation that it was followed.

Depending on the nature of the project, two execution models are available. For equipment designed by Alvand Technic's own engineering team, fabrication is a direct continuation of the design process — the team that drew it supervises its construction. For Build-to-Print work, client-supplied drawings are executed to the same quality standards, inspection protocols, and documentation requirements.

The fabrication scope runs from heavy structural steel — meltshop platforms, furnace shells, large-format ducting, stacks — through to precision mechanical assemblies, material handling systems, heat-resistant alloy components, and pressure vessels. For complex assemblies, pre-assembly and dimensional verification in the workshop reduces installation time and eliminates fit-up problems on site.

Factory Acceptance Testing is conducted before every shipment. FAT protocols are defined during the engineering phase — not improvised at the end of fabrication. The client receives complete FAT documentation alongside the equipment.

Depending on project scope, fabrication deliverables may include:

Fabrication Documents: Fabrication drawings, material take-off, welding procedure specifications, inspection and test plan

Quality Documentation: Material traceability records, weld inspection reports, dimensional verification, NDT results

Factory Acceptance Test: FAT protocol, performance test records, dimensional check report, punch list clearance

Fabrication scope: Heavy Structural Steel · Furnace Shells & Refractory Frames · Large-Format Ducting & Stacks · Mechanical Assemblies & Conveyors · Heat-Resistant & Alloy Components · Pressure Vessels & Piping · Scrap Buckets & Ladle Equipment

Standards applied: ISO 9001 · EN 1090-2 · ASME (where specified) · Client-specific QA/QC requirements

Have a fabrication scope — design-build or build-to-print?

Whether you are bringing your own drawings or need the equipment designed and built as one package, we are glad to review the scope and discuss the right execution model.
