From First Feasibility to Fabrication-Ready Documentation: One Team, One Model, Zero Gaps

Every industrial project takes its definitive shape in engineering decisions before a single component reaches site. The quality of those decisions determines whether the project runs to schedule or arrives at execution facing redesign and delay.

Alvand Technic manages the full engineering sequence as a single integrated workflow. Every discipline works from the same 3D model from the outset. Our teams analyze the relationships between process, mechanical equipment, structure, utilities, electrical, instrumentation, and operational infrastructure as one system. This systems view prevents decisions made in isolation within a single discipline that appear correct on their own but create bottlenecks in overall plant performance. What is designed in one discipline is reviewed and refined concurrently across the others. Coordination happens in the model, not on site.

The most expensive engineering mistake is not a design error. It is a coordination gap — the moment two disciplines each produce sound work that cannot be built together.

The FEED stage is where a project moves from an idea to an investment decision. Mass and energy balances, equipment lists, long-lead item identification, and CAPEX estimation to ±15% accuracy is all defined here. These numbers form the basis for investment decisions, financing, and execution planning.

As the project moves into Basic and Detail Engineering, the design develops within that same unified 3D model. Piping stress analysis (CAESAR II), clash detection, isometric generation, single-line diagrams, automation architecture, foundation load calculations — all developed and cross-checked in one integrated model. The output is fabrication-ready documentation: no interpretation required on site, no field modifications to make things fit.

For projects involving expansion or modernization of existing facilities, the sequence begins with one additional step. Sub-centimeter 3D laser scanning of the existing plant builds the model foundation. Every new component is digitally fit-tested against the as-is scan before fabrication begins. Clashes are resolved on a screen, not on a shutdown day.
